There are times when it’s okay to be possessive over your family and privacy, but when you cross the line into paranoia, you’re bound to run into problems.
The girl yelled at a stranger who flew over her “airspace,” but she claims it was all a matter of hubris.
Find out how things happened.
Yesterday, as my husband and I prepared to paint the house in our fenced-in backyard, a drone buzzed overhead.
This girl hates drones flying over her property.
I don’t like drones, but sometimes they fly by.
However, this one stopped about 20 feet directly above our house and hovered for a minute or two before taking off.
I pointed it out and wondered who in our remote rural neighborhood had one and why they were taking pictures of us.
She found the culprit!
He thought it might be the underwriter for our new insurance company, so we went out the gate to take a look.
There was a guy parked on the street who was obviously operating it.
DH approached the man and asked if he had insurance. The man just turned his back on us.
So I asked out loud (still from a distance) who he was.
He justified his actions.
He eventually replied that he was taking photos for a real estate listing. I told him, not particularly kindly, that this was my home and that it was not listed.
Then he pointed to our neighbor’s house.
But that doesn’t explain why he’s hovering over our house, and when I say that, he replies, “No!” “different!”
I requested to see the footage because I literally saw him fly over our house, but he wouldn’t show it to us.
He didn’t understand why the girl was acting like that.
In the end, he said he didn’t know what the problem was, and when we pointed out that people don’t like strangers flying drones into their fenced backyards, where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. it’s over.
At that moment I got too hot too and was like, well, think about it, and when we got back to the house it was obvious that he was on top of our house to get an aerial view of the neighbor’s house. It has become.
So why didn’t he just call me a liar and say he never flew a drone over our house?
She found him suspicious…
That in itself is a sketch to me.
Although there were no threats and the police were not called, we felt justified in our anger, especially in lying to me about it and gaslighting me.
Our neighbor Otho texted us saying we were crazy for confronting that guy and that it was no big deal.
The neighbors got involved later!
I asked him how he would feel if a stranger flew a drone over his house while his children were outside.
He refused to answer it and kept implying that we were out of line.
Oh no! This girl is so dramatic!
Let’s see what the Reddit community thinks about this.
This user is an ally of the drone guy!
This user believes this girl needs medical treatment.
That’s correct! The girl did something bad for herself.
This drone guy explains how his jaw works and is sad that the girl reacted that way.
This user doesn’t think there’s much that can be done about the drone guy doing his job.
I think this girl overreacted to the fact that the man was working.
I’m sure she’ll never admit it though.
