VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) is selling Christmas ornaments to help fund this year’s Mayor’s Motorcade giveaway.
Each year, the city’s fire department and mayor distribute gifts to more than 100 residents ages 7 to 80 at Pruitt Health’s Parkwood Development Center.
The department is now asking local residents to support this good cause by purchasing Christmas ornaments for $10 each.
“Every year, it’s great to see the smiles on the faces of the fire department, the mayor, and our clients every time a gift comes in,” said an employee at Pruitt Health’s Parkwood Development Center. “Every little thing you can think of puts the biggest smile on a client’s face.” Butted “Our clients look forward to this every year.”
Ornaments can be picked up at Valdosta Fire Station Station 1, 106 S. Oak St., Valdosta, Georgia.
All proceeds will go directly to the department’s gift fund.
