Days after news first broke that Tomer Fridman was leaving Compass, the luxury goods agency announced his move to Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California on Instagram.
Friedman said his new title at the luxury brand network is executive director of private wealth and luxury estates, a move he had been considering for “some time.”
At Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, Fridman joins an elite group of agents including Aaron Carman, Cindy Ambuhl, Shelton Wilder, Timothy Prizzito and Dalton Gomez.
Aaron Carman, the company’s president and CEO, declined to comment. Mr. Carman was also affiliated with Compass until 2022, when he began his brokerage practice with Christie’s International Real Estate.
Mr. Fridman has been with Compass since 2017 (with the exception of a brief one-month stint at Hilton & Hyland in 2021) and was previously with Sotheby’s International Realty. He has brought about $1 billion worth of properties to Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, according to an announcement on Instagram.
“This transition marks an incredible new chapter for me and my team, leveraging Christie’s globally recognized brand and vast international footprint to meet the evolving needs of our clients. “We provide an elevated experience,” Fridman wrote on Instagram.
“I would like to thank Compass for the incredible journey we have taken together that has allowed me to grow my brand from Calabasas and Hidden Hills to Beverly Hills and the Platinum Triangle,” he continued. Ta. “A strong foundation has been laid over the past few years, and I am proud of everything we have accomplished.”
Fridman’s departure from Compass was announced in an internal email on Friday, The Real Deal reported.
Mr. Fridman and fellow Compass agent Sally Forster Jones have worked together on listings and transactions for years, but last spring they formalized their partnership by launching Jones Fridman International. It was announced on . In an announcement on Instagram Wednesday, Fridman said the two agencies will “continue our highly successful collaboration with even broader reach and impact.”
Fridman’s team, Fridman Group International, also appears to have moved to Christie’s Real Estate, according to an Instagram post. The team also includes Fridman’s mother, Isidora Fridman, who is also a partner at Israel Sotheby’s International Realty.
Over the years, Mr. Friedman has been the agent for such high-profile stars as Khloe Kardashian, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sylvester Stallone, Pamela Anderson, and former BCBG Maxazria group executive Lubov Azria.
