Tennessee Athletics said people can purchase Mountain Strong shirts, hats and stickers to support the cause. All proceeds will be donated to charity.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Athletics is raising money for East Tennesseans affected by Hurricane Helen’s devastating flooding.
The Vol Shop and Alumni Hall sell shirts, stickers and hats featuring the “Mountain Strong” logo worn by the Tennessee football team. All proceeds from items sold will be donated to charities supporting flood victims.
These items can be purchased from the Vol Shop at this link or from the Alumni Hall at this link.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected during this difficult time,” Director of Athletics Danny White said in a statement. “We sincerely hope that these efforts will bring much-needed support and awareness to the affected areas.”
UT said it will be organizing, accepting and collecting donations for those affected by Helen in the coming weeks. More details will be announced soon, including how students, staff and faculty can volunteer to help through the Jones Center in Student Life.
UT said it is also using QR codes at events to give people a way to donate. UT Public Safety is monitoring how the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency requests assistance and provides assistance based on current needs.
