The Pennsylvania Treasury’s largest unclaimed real estate auction in history will run from October 30 to November 1, with approximately 5,700 items on the auction block.
The largest auction of unclaimed property ever held by the Pennsylvania Treasury begins this Wednesday, with nearly 5,700 items listed on the online auction block, according to 6abc’s Heather Gravola and Nydia Hung. I’m writing.
The auction continues until Friday. Items on offer include everything from coins to collectibles and jewelry.
“One of my favorite items is a 14-karat gold pendant that says ‘Chief’ and has a sparkling round diamond,” said Stacey Garrity, Pennsylvania State Treasurer. said. “It would be a great gift from Taylor Swift to Travis Kelce if she listened.”
Bids can be placed online through the auctioneer on the Pook and Pook website.
Most of the items came from an abandoned safe deposit box. The Treasury will spend at least three years searching for the owner. If an owner cannot be found, the Treasury holds auctions twice a year to free up space in the vault.
“One in 10 Pennsylvanians has unclaimed property, and the average claim amount is about $1,600,” Garrity said.
