This week, the late actor’s home was sold to a movie producer.
Almost a year after Matthew Perry’s death, his Pacific Palisades home has been sold. This is the same property where the actor died in the bathtub. Initially, the cause of death was believed to be drowning. However, it was later revealed that the actor died from the acute effects of ketamine. Other contributing factors to his death were drowning, arterial disease and the effects of buprenorphine, TMZ reported.

Matthew Perry’s house sold…
The “Friends” actor originally bought the home in 2020 for $6 million, but it went off the market this week when it was sold in an off-market transaction for $8.55 million. The 3,500-square-foot, four-bedroom property was sold to film producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Larian, the Los Angeles Times reported. Brooke Elliott Rawlinx of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California represented the property’s new owner.
He was found dead in the facility’s hot tub on October 28 last year. Therefore, the property was sold nearly a year after his death. As The New York Times reported, in August two of his assistants, two doctors and two others were charged with providing Perry with the drugs that killed him.

The estate included pieces of Perry himself, with the actor’s personal touches. This mid-century modern home on 0.4 acres was built in 1965 in Los Angeles’ quiet Pacific Palisades neighborhood. The actor purchased the place through a trust and renovated it to his liking, even adding a pool to the property.
Perry was a huge Batman fan and wanted his home to convey that message. According to several images he shared on social media, much of the home’s decor was inspired by DC Comics characters, including the LED-lit Bat Signal at the bottom of the pool, as reported by The New York Times. He says that’s what he got.
