This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re talking about efforts to end breast cancer through research happening in upstate New York. Since 2001, the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Foundation has focused on this fight.
Jody Kenney welcomed Beth Baldwin, executive director of the Baldwin Foundation, who recently committed to a $50 million campaign to establish the Upstate Cancer Institute in Syracuse. Beth Baldwin said the foundation, with help from brothers Alec, Stephen, Daniel and William, has already donated millions of dollars to research to isolate genes known to cause breast cancer. spoke. In addition to holding its annual gala on Nov. 1, the Baldwin Fund is leveraging social media for its Crush the Can fundraising campaign.
