Veteran wrestling fans should know by now that there aren’t many wrestlers who stay true to their word when they say they’re retiring. However, it looks like Sting has officially decided to retire, as it looks like his last time in the ring will be when he and Darby Allin won the AEW Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution 2024. This retirement comes eight years after the icon “retired” at the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and in a recent interview with “Kayfabe Friends,” Sting revealed what he was up to during his first retirement. “We pretty much left it free,” Sting explained. “I didn’t really want to retire at the time. It was kind of a mutual contract that I had with WWE at the time.
