STILLWATER, Okla. (KOKH) — The Stillwater Police Chief has announced he will retire in January 2025.
Chief Shannon Jordan has been with the Stillwater Police Department for over 32 years.
“I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me, and it has been an honor to serve as your chief over the past few months,” said Chief Jordan. “I will forever protect and continue to build on the foundations we have built. Our people are on the front lines, with extraordinary courage and moral fortitude, building relationships and earning trust. , protect our community and each other. I am proud to serve in this role for them and for Stillwater. ”
Chief Jordan was promoted from assistant chief to chief in July 2024.
“While we will miss Mayor Jordan’s leadership, we thank him for his many years of service to our community,” Interim City Manager Brady Moore said in a statement. “He drove positive change, promoted accountability, and left a legacy of service above self.”
Prior to joining the Stillwater Police Department, Chief Jordan served in the Army National Guard from 1983 to 2012.
