Salma Hayek, like her boss, wants to make money.
The 58-year-old actress revealed that she is motivated to earn her own income, even though her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, whom she married in 2009, has a multi-billion dollar family fortune. .
“I support many aspects of my life and myself,” Hayek said in an interview with WSJ. Magazine published on Tuesdays.
“There’s pressure to make a certain amount of money,” she continued. “I love it. And now I’ve decided I want to make more.”

The “Frida” star explained that she and her husband keep their finances “separate” even though “there is no prenuptial agreement dividing assets.”
In fact, the 62-year-old French businessman praises Hayek’s work ethic.
“I think he finds it sexy in a way,” she admitted.
The House of Gucci star also said she has several ideas for ventures with her and Pinault’s daughter Valentina, 17.
Hayek is also candid about her upbringing, with the paper saying that she was born into a wealthy family thanks to her father’s position as an oil company executive. Her father had lost his fortune by the time she was in her 20s.

The Mexican-born actress decided to move to Los Angeles and became the breadwinner for her family in her hometown.
“That’s when I became my best self,” Hayek said.
After marrying Pinault, CEO of luxury retail group Kering, Hayek realized that people around her always wanted to talk about money, and that people with money often talked to her about money. I remember wanting to be friends.
“For me, the excitement of having a lot of money was that I didn’t have to think about money. And I realized that all people wanted to talk to me about was money.” Hayek added. “Strangers come up to me who aren’t even my friends, but they think we should be friends because we’re rich.”

Hayek and Pinault celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary earlier this year, and the “Eternals” alum shared a ton of photos on Instagram.
“There are no words to describe the joy of finding my soulmate,” she captioned Carousel. “For those of you who have found it, never take it for granted. For those of you who have not yet found it, never give up on the best day of your life.”
