LAKELAND, Fla. – After 41 years of dedicated service, Publix Super Markets CEO Kevin Murphy announced retirement plans for Dave Bornmann, Senior Vice President of Product Business Development, and two executive positions effective January 1, 2025. Announced plans to promote.
“We are grateful for Dave’s more than 40 years of dedicated service to Publix, our employees, and the communities we serve,” Murphy said. “He is a strong leader who has been passionately focused on supplier relationships, store merchandising and replenishment, and growing and supporting new business and health and wellness initiatives. He has provided valuable insight and we wish him well in his retirement.”
Following Mr. Bornmann’s retirement, Brad Oliver, vice president of fresh produce business development, will be promoted to senior vice president of product business development.
With Oliver’s promotion, Lee Reavis, director of product business development for Meat, will be promoted to vice president of product business development for fresh produce.

About Bornmann
Mr. Bornman, 66, began his career at Publix in 1983 as a computer programmer in Lakeland, Florida. He was promoted to strategic project manager in 1992 and business development manager for dairy, processed meat and DSD items in 1994. In 1998, he was promoted to Vice President of Food/Non-Food Product Business Development, a position he holds today. Bornman and his wife, Melissa, will continue to reside in Lakeland. He looks forward to spending more time with his family and on Anna Maria Island.
About Oliver
Oliver, 51, began his career with Publix in 1991 as a part-time front desk clerk in Lakeland. He held various positions in the store before becoming a retail information specialist in 1998 and moving to the support side of the business as a grocery technical specialist in 2000. He was promoted to Director of Business Development for Grocery Retail Support in 2013, Director of Business Development for DSD Grocery in 2017, and Vice President of Product Business Development for Food/Non-Food in 2018. In 2020, he was appointed Vice President of Product Operations. He has been involved in the development of deli and fruit and vegetable products, and has been in his current position since 2022. Oliver and his wife Michelle live in Lakeland.
About Levis
Reavis, 57, began his career at Publix in 1987 as a part-time apprentice meat cutter in Ormond Beach, Florida. He held various positions in the meat department and was promoted to meat manager in 1993, meat merchandiser in 1998, meat retail coordinator in 2000 and meat buyer in 2003. Promoted to Category Manager, Meat Department in 2006, Director of Retail Support Fresh Produce and Bakery Department in 2013, Business Development Director, Produce Department in 2015, Business Development Director, Bakery Department in 2016, and in 2019. Appointed to current position. Reavis and his wife, Renee, live in Brandon, Florida.
