PORTLAND, Ore. (Wednesday, October 2, 2024) – The Portland WNBA today announced that it has reached 5,000 season ticket member deposits ahead of the team’s first season at Moda Center in 2026 . The Portland WNBA has received significant interest from the Portland community, reaching 5,000 deposits in just two weeks since Portland acquired the WNBA’s 15th franchise on Wednesday, September 18th. Portland becomes the third expansion franchise acquired from the WNBA during this expansion round, joining the Golden State Valkyries and Toronto franchise, increasing the league’s size from 12 to 15 teams.
