PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Residents of one Eastern Carolina county can use an app to pay their property taxes ahead of the Jan. 6 deadline.
Pitt County announced the launch of the myPittCounty app in partnership with the tax authority and PayIt. This app was designed to simplify paying your property taxes as tax season begins.
The county says the app will allow residents to pay their property taxes without visiting a county office or mailing a check. The app makes the process flexible by allowing you to schedule payments, view payment history, and securely store payment information.
“We are pleased to offer our residents a convenient and secure option to manage their property taxes,” said Pitt County Tax Administrator Russell Hill. “The myPittCounty app makes it easier for residents to stay on top of their payments during the busy tax season, so they don’t have to panic as the January deadline approaches.”
myPittCounty is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Property tax due date is January 6, 2025.
