Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Investments, announced Monday the appointment of Laura Curtis as global head of product and marketing and Britta Hion as head of North American distribution. These two new positions have been created.
Newton CEO Ewan Munro said in a statement: “We are delighted to welcome Laura and Britta to Newton. “Their combined expertise in leadership, sales and product management, along with established network relationships, will help us strengthen our track record as a global asset manager. This will be invaluable in helping us continue to deliver the investment outcomes our customers desire.”
From 2018 to 2022, Mr. Curtis was Chief Marketing Officer and Head of European Marketing at Vanguard Asset Management, based in London, and Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Marketing at Jupiter Asset Management. Ta. She also held senior marketing positions at AllianceBernstein.
Mr. Curtis will continue to be based in London and will report directly to Mr. Munro. She earned her MBA from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mr. Hion previously served as Head of North American Distribution at Barings and held multiple positions at BlackRock, most recently as Global Co-Head of the firm’s Alternative Client Platform. Based in New York, Hion will report to Tjeerd Voskamp, Newton’s head of global distribution.
