San Francisco: Andhra Pradesh offers unique connectivity in the country through water, road and air transportation, with road connectivity stretching along nearly 1,000 kilometers of coastline. According to Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister of Education, IT and Electronics, the state is currently India’s most favorable region for investors.
Minister Nara Lokesh met with several businessmen at Dropbox co-founder Sujay Jaswa’s residence in San Francisco. He said development and construction projects worth $3 billion in the public sector and $4.5 billion in the private sector will be launched around the Amaravati metropolitan area. Additionally, new greenfield ports are being built in areas such as Machilipatnam, Ramayapatnam, Kakinada and Mulapetta.
He also stressed that the Bhogapuram International Airport, scheduled to be completed within the next one and a half years, will significantly boost economic activities.
The minister announced plans to set up an AI university in Amaravati to ensure skilled workforce for new AI companies set up in the state. He urged businessmen to invest in Andhra Pradesh and highlighted the favorable investment climate in the state.
