TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As of Tuesday, there were more than 230,000 insurance claims and estimated insured losses from Hurricane Milton at $2.75 billion, according to data posted on the state Department of Insurance Regulation’s website. has reached.
According to the data, 230,314 claims were reported, of which 185,002 were related to residential real estate.
Additionally, 31,061 claims for compensation for “private vehicles” were reported, as well as claims for compensation for commercial real estate and commercial vehicles.
Estimated insured losses were $2,748,539,630. Claims and estimated insured losses have steadily increased since Milton made landfall in Sarasota County as a Category 3 hurricane on Oct. 9 and crossed the state.
For comparison, as of Thursday, 189,958 claims had been reported, with estimated insured losses of $2,341,971,571.
