NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tuesday night I went to the Palace of Nashville. There, Metro Police were holding their 17th annual law enforcement talent show.
It’s a great night out every year and a great treat for local children. It raises money for the Nashville Children’s Alliance, a Davidson County nonprofit that provides free services to children who have been physically or sexually abused.
We watched men and women wearing badges perform country songs, classic rock, and fan favorites. Gene Martin — Returns this year doubling as an Elvis impersonator.
In addition to the police officers showcasing their talents, John Rich and Chris Janson also performed.
The event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars through ticket sales, donors and a silent auction.
“I think it’s a lot of fun. One of the effects of this is it shows that our Metro Nashville Police Department is invested in our community, and the proceeds from this entire fundraiser go to the Nashville Police Department. It will be donated to the Children’s Alliance. We are very grateful for that,” Dawn said. said Harper of the Nashville Children’s Alliance.
It’s sure to be another great night at the Law Enforcement Talent Show. They’re still counting the funds raised, but I heard it was another successful year.
A road trip to see the best Halloween decorations in your neighborhood
There are only a few days left until Halloween. This year, Americans are expected to spend about $12 billion on candy, costumes, and decorations. Over the past few years, it seems like more and more people are going all out when it comes to decorating their homes. Forrest Sanders had a chance to visit several communities in the mid-state to check out some Halloween decorations.
