The Maui County Housing Authority has issued a Call for Proposals seeking affordable housing projects to be funded from the FY 2026 Affordable Housing Fund. The project must propose a housing solution that provides housing for families making 140 percent or less of income in Maui County. Maui median household income.
Public agencies, private nonprofit organizations, community land trusts, and private for-profit organizations are invited to submit proposals.
Applications may be submitted starting today, October 17, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), at the County Housing Programs Division, 2065 Main St., Suite 108, Wailuku, and on the department’s website. is accepted. , https://www.mauicounty.gov/housing.

All applications, both hand-delivered and mailed, must be received by the County Housing Programs Division by November 15th at 4:00 pm Hawaii time.
Project readiness, including site management and completion of all applicable environmental reviews, is a key evaluation factor.
The Affordable Housing Fund was established to fund affordable housing for income-eligible residents. Eligible projects are identified in Maui County Code Chapter 3.35 and include rehabilitation of existing structures, land purchases, planning, design, and construction.
