The two sessions will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Community Hall in Toledo from Monday, October 7th through Friday, October 11th from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline will hold two property valuation sessions in Toledo to answer homeowners’ questions after the 2024 reassessment.
The two sessions will be held Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the center’s Holy Trinity Greek Community Hall, 740 Superior Street, Toledo.
The Comptroller’s Office said this week will be the last time it will hold in-person community property valuation sessions. All informal property inspections must be submitted to the Lucas County Auditor’s Office by 11 p.m. on Oct. 11, according to the Auditor’s Office.
Reservations are not required to attend the session and walk-ins are welcome, but to reduce wait times at the event, property owners are encouraged to submit their property valuation online here.
Ohio requires county auditors to independently update property values every six years, according to the Comptroller’s Office.
The auditor’s office announced in September that residential real estate values in Lucas County rose 29%. The auditor’s office said a value change notice listing preliminary property values was mailed to all property owners in Lucas County. This value is also said to be available on the Lucas County Auditor’s Office’s AREIS online website.
“One of my core values as an elected official is transparency, which is why I am open and honest with homeowners who are experiencing changes in property values and their impacts. “We want to do that,” auditor Katie Moline said. “I encourage homeowners to attend an in-person event, contact my office by phone or email, or submit an informal property review online.”
If the Comptroller’s Office has evidence to support a value other than the 2024 preliminary value stated in the letter, please submit an informal property value review here or contact the Comptroller’s Office at 419-213- 4406).
