Fans have now deposited more than 5,500 season tickets to secure a spot in the inaugural season of UTRGV football in 2025.

Fans can reserve season tickets with a $25 deposit at UTRGVTickets.com. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied towards the purchase of season tickets.
UTRGV Athletics is finalizing ticket pricing details and will announce prices in the coming weeks. The plan is to offer a variety of price points with season tickets as low as $99 to offer something for everyone.
Season tickets include games at Robert and Janet Vacker Stadium. UTRGV plays one game each year at Sam’s Stadium in Brownsville. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the Brownsville game during the seat selection process.
Season tickets are required to purchase season parking passes and tailgating spots. Pricing for parking passes and tailgating spots will be published in September.
Seat/Suite Selection
Fans who make a deposit for a UTRGV football season ticket will have the opportunity to select their seats at Robert and Janet Vacker Stadium in Spring 2025. The number of seats you can choose is based on the number of deposits. (So: 4 deposits = 4 seats). Fans will be assigned a date and time to choose from based on their Vaqueros loyalty point rank. The UTRGV box office will provide fans with a map of each section detailing available rows and seats prior to the designated date and time.
For the first football season in 2025, only points accumulated by January 15 will be included in the seat selection process. Loyalty points accumulated after the January 15th deadline will determine priority for future seat selections, seat upgrades, and additional ticket requests/benefits.
Fans interested in suites will be assigned an earlier date and time based on their Vaqueros loyalty point rank. Points accumulated by November 15th will be considered in the suite selection process. The suite selection process will take place in December. Suites require a 4-year commitment.
Fans can renew or upgrade their tickets each season. It is important to renew your season ticket by the renewal deadline to maintain the same seat. Once the renewal deadline has passed, the seat may be released and available for purchase.
If tickets remain in stock after completing the seat selection process, those seats will be available for purchase at a later date. However, availability or quantities cannot be guaranteed.
How Vaqueros Loyalty Points Work
The Vaqueros loyalty points program ensures that the seat and suite selection process is fair, impartial and transparent.
In addition, regarding seat transfer requests, new or additional season ticket requests, premium seating requests, parking, tailgating, neutral site and postseason ticket requests, and all other sports benefit allocations, the Vaqueros Priority is determined by loyalty points.
Vaqueros loyalty points are earned based on donations to UTRGV Athletics and season ticket purchase history dating back to 2017-2018. Each category is assigned a specific point value, which is added to each member’s point total. The point values for each category are combined to create a total point value that determines your ranking. Rankings are determined quarterly and available upon request.
Supporters earn 1 point for every $100 lifetime contribution to athletics, 1 point for every $100 donated to track and field events in the current year, 1 point for every $100 donated to track and field in the current year, 1 point per annual sport donated Earn 5 points on season tickets purchased. Earn 100 points for every $10,000 pledged in donations. In addition, supporters will receive a total of 3 points for every $1,000 in sponsorship spending from 2017 to 2018, 10 points if they are an alumnus of UTRGV and its legacy institutions (awarded once, not per degree); Earn 10 one-time points if you are a graduate. 20 points if you are a Lifetime Member of the Varsity Club, a former student-athlete who graduated from UTRGV or its traditional institutions, and 100 points if you are a member of the Silver Buckle Association (members who have generously donated at least $1 million to UTRGV) is given.
