FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — Four people were arrested after a major drug bust at a Fresno County facility Thursday night.
The bust occurred inside a warehouse behind a home near Grantland Avenue and Ashlan Avenue, just down the street from Justin Garza High School.
On Thursday, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office detectives learned of a possible illegal drug sale thanks to a recent tip from Valley Crime Stoppers.
Distributors involved in the operation called the event “Sunday Funday.”
Detectives say they learned the incident dates back to earlier this year.
“What we found inside was a complete setup, basically thinking it was like a baseball card show or a record show,” said Tony Botti of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Please. When I got inside, there were all kinds of drugs.”
The discovery uncovered a treasure trove of drugs, including the seizure of 400 pounds of marijuana, 120 pounds of THC edibles, and small amounts of cocaine, ketamine, and Xanax.
Four handguns were also recovered during the seizure.
In total, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrested four men and questioned up to 30 people.
There are no minors among those arrested.
Jason Oxford, who lives just down the street, said the dirt lot outside the building was filled with parked cars and hundreds of people every Tuesday and Thursday night.
Oxford said he was not surprised by the findings.
“I can guarantee you that the gentlemen who come in and out here every Tuesday night are usually standing around in their vests,” Oxford explained.
“He says he’s security, but when I ask him what’s going on, he just says it’s a private matter.”
“This is your home and you want it to be a beautiful, clean and safe environment. Please step up. If you know anything please let us know. Investigate We will,” Botti added.
