Georgian Bay’s Central Community Forward Fund is accepting applications for funding for next year
What would North Simcoe be without charities?
Their work is “vital,” according to the Huronia Community Foundation (HCF).
Financial support is now available through a fund established by the families of Mark Wayne and Julie Coleman. Organizations are now invited to apply for grants from the Huronia Community Foundation’s Heart of Georgian Bay Community Forward Fund.
Established in 2023, the fund has disbursed grants totaling more than $91,000 to 19 local charities.
“This represents the commitment of Wayne and the Coleman family to the future of Huronia,” HCF said in a release.
The grants will fund organizations in seven key areas: food security, arts and culture, education, literacy and training, environmental leadership, healthy living, and mental health.
