Hanover Township Assessor Kaja Moinuddin and Supervisor Brian P. McGuire will host a property valuation seminar at the Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59 in Bartlett, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 6:30 p.m. .
The Cook County Assessor’s Office explains the assessment appeal process and explains how to decide whether to file an appeal. County staff will also guide participants through the appeals process. There will also be a question and answer session after the presentation. No registration required.
Hanover Township Assessor Kaja Moinuddin said, “Determining how the county should value a property under the best of circumstances can be very complex and frustrating for many people.” said. “This seminar will allow residents to hear directly from staff about how their properties are assessed and how they can challenge lower assessments.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring their second 2023 tax bill to the seminar.
The seminar was also co-sponsored by Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison, state Sen. Cristina Castro, state Sen. Karina Villa, state representative Fred Crespo, state representative Anna Moller, and state representative Maura Hirschauer. I am doing it.
