Stay frugal and do what you love
This may not be the case for everyone, but Reddit user VolupVeVa kept the Gen-X attitude strong in his thread. Are Gen Xers tired of working? At what age will they retire? “I never wanted to work at a job. I have an artist/lazy soul. Every job I’ve ever had has been about supporting my art and relaxation. It was a means.”
They went so far as to say, “I’m going to live a very frugal life if I don’t have to exchange dollars for more than 40 hours a week anymore.” My goal is to be semi-retired at age 55 and fully retired by age 60. As long as my basic needs are met and I can buy paints and canvas, I am happy. ”They truly are the coolest generation!
