CINCINNATI (WXIX)—Findlay Market, one of six zones included in BLINK Cincinnati, features dozens of brand-new murals in the Market District, including a fiber art installation by Bombshells of Cincinnati .
Bombshells of Cincinnati, a group of fiber artists who have been “yarn bombing” Cincinnati for more than a decade, will illustrate an installation called “Shady Lane” that will be installed at Jane’s Bar in Findlay Market.
“Shady Lane is made up of 182 granny squares with colorful and whimsical hoops on either side. The work was completed by a Bombshell crew of 14,” said founding member Jen Edwards. said. “Although the installation itself does not glow, it uses sunlight to form a pattern of shadows beneath it through the negative space of the installation.”
The installation becomes active during and after flashing.
