Tama Toledo is made up of several great institutions, but few are as important to the community as Fairway. This unique store has been around longer than any other store, serving and employing local residents for generations. But with the departure of one person who left a lasting mark on the beloved grocery store, regular visits to Fairway may be a little lonely for a while. None other than George Buck, a 42-year veteran of the industry, a familiar face always seen roaming the shelves has retired. After nearly half a century working at Fairway, George is hanging up his name tag for some well-earned relaxation. When asked if he had any plans for retirement, George simply answered, “Hunting, fishing, and grandchildren.”
