EMILY — Community Care N Share Cafe of Emily thanked donors for their generosity during its fall fundraiser. Care N Share relies entirely on grants and donations.
As of mid-October, the organization had received nearly $10,000 in donations from supporters, out of an annual budget of $43,000.
The appeal was also partially funded by the Initiative Foundation, a local community foundation.
Since 2008, Care N Share has provided more than 172,800 meals to neighbors within a 30-mile radius of Emily through grants, businesses, the community, supporters and volunteer support.
Care N Share is located at Wesleyen Church, 40141 Highway 6, Emily, and is serving free meals on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. You can eat in the store or take it home.
