The Senate Leadership Fund, affiliated with Tammy Baldwin and the Republican Party, is eyeing a new slot to deliver closing arguments in the U.S. Senate race, as ad spending exceeds what was spent on 2022 campaigns.
The race is approaching $227 million in reservations from Jan. 1 to Election Day, according to AdImpact. This compares to the 217.8 million people AdImpact tracked between January 1, 2022, when Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Oshkosh) defeated Democrat Mandela Burns, and the November election two years ago. More than $1,000.
Since January 1, Baldwin and those who support her have donated $121.9 million, while Hovde and those who support him have donated $104.8 million.
But in the last six weeks, he has had the spending advantage, with Baldwin having $7.7 million in reserves from today through Election Day, compared to $11.1 million. AdImpact reports.
Some of the latest ads include:
* Baldwin calls this race between “the guy who wrote the law that required the use of American steel in America’s infrastructure” and “the guy who invested millions of dollars in a company that outsources jobs out of Wisconsin.” It is depicted as a choice.
“Tammy Baldwin is someone who works in Wisconsin,” the narrator concludes.

* Baldwin’s new ad says Hovde “cannot stand up to special interests because he is a special interest.”
“Eric Hovde is a walking, talking special interest banker who will never take your side,” the narrator concludes the spot.

* New ad by Senate Leadership Fund in partnership with Republicans. “Quiz Time,” he said, noting that Baldwin supports sex reassignment surgery, mastectomies and castrations for minors.
“Baldwin is for them, not you. Our final answer is, ‘It’s time to replace Tammy Baldwin,'” the narrator says, closing the ad.
