• iHeartMedia announces the retirement of Andy Lohman, Alaska and Hawaii Market Area President, effective immediately, ending more than 40 years of distinguished service in the radio industry. Mr. Roman will continue to lend his expertise to iHeartMedia in a consulting role.

Roman leaves a legacy of dedication, growth, and contribution to the radio industry and the communities of Alaska and Hawaii. His tenure was marked by outstanding leadership, innovative strategies, and a commitment to fostering excellence within the organization.
Roman’s remarkable radio career began after graduating from Duke University and taking a summer vacation to Alaska in June 1981. His first jobs in the state included roughneck work for a fish processor and an oil pipeline in Prudhoe Bay. By October 1982, he was in radio sales and began a long and influential journey in broadcasting. Roman’s leadership and dedication were recognized nationally when he was named Radio & Records’ 2004 Small Market GM of the Year.
Looking back on his long career, Roman said: Radio is a truly amazing industry that drives economies and brings communities together, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing its evolution firsthand. Finishing my career at iHeart marked the best chapter of my career over the last 10 years. ”
Following Roman’s retirement, Kim Williams was named his successor in July 2024.
