An 886-acre ranch in the Texas Hill Country is on the market for a whopping $42.5 million.
Known as 3 Creeks Ranch, this luxurious home in Fredericksburg wine country offers history, stunning views, and even exotic wildlife.
According to the Wall Street Journal, former attorneys Michael and Susan Price used the property as both a private retreat and an animal sanctuary. The couple decided to sell their ranch and move to Austin.

The ranch’s buyer will join billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk in taking ownership of Texas real estate.
Bezos purchased the 30,000-acre Figure 2 Ranch, now known as the Corn Ranch, in 2004. The site has since expanded to 400,000 acres and is the launch site for Blue Origin, the aerospace company Bezos founded in 2000.
Musk, who moved Tesla to Austin in 2021, has ties to 620 acres of land adjacent to the Tesla Gigafactory. Jared Birchall, who runs Musk’s family office, is listed as the manager of Byer Horse Ranch LLC.
3 Creeks Ranch has over 4 miles of stream frontage, 6 fish-stocked fishing holes, and lots of open space.
It’s a meticulously maintained ecosystem where the Price family raises Japanese red cows and other rare species such as red cow cows and blackback antelopes. The 120-acre enclosure houses collectible animals that Price kept on-site.
“It’s like going on a safari,” Susan Price told the paper. “Ride the mule (four-wheeler) and just have fun.”

In addition to its natural beauty, Three Creeks Ranch has a rich history. The main residence, a stone house built in the 1950s, has been carefully renovated twice to create a 5,300-square-foot home that combines historic charm with modern amenities.
French doors open to a two-story living room and an open concept kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances and a large stone island. The outdoor screened porch has a built-in grill and pizza oven.
For those who enjoy sports, there is a tennis court with a basketball hoop. Wine lovers can store their bottles in the wine cellar.
The property also includes two historic homes. Built in the 1800s and renovated in 2020, Pesce House combines modern amenities with rustic charm. Built in 1874, the Jenschke House overlooks the property’s pond and hills.
