For TI, it’s not about money.
The 44-year-old recently spoke about his decision to no longer perform live during a visit to 96.1 The Beat’s Afternoon Show on Thursday.
TI and Young Doro sat down with radio hosts to talk about the station’s Jingle Ball Holiday Concert in Atlanta on December 19th. The rapper is scheduled to headline there.

“I don’t need the money anymore and I won’t be performing, so I would like to thank everyone who offered me the job for my last job,” TI revealed. “I don’t want to do it anymore…I don’t want to fly around for entertainment or have people pay me to sweat.”
Young Doro teased that he would be taking on a concert that the “Bugatti” artist didn’t want.
“I’m going to watch every show that Tip isn’t on. I’m doing it all,” the 45-year-old said.

Host Ferrari Simmons asked TI if he was planning to “do” anything at his next show. The Atlanta performer replied, “Of course I’m going to pick up the phone and tell them I’m not going to be on the show.”
The news comes a month after T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, won a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment. The couple, who married in 2010, claimed that the company infringed on the intellectual property rights of music group OMG Girlz with “LOL Surprise!” Ah, dolls.
The 49-year-old Xscape singer took to social media to share his relief after a multi-year legal battle that began in 2020 and ended with a $71 million victory.

“We did this for the city. We did this for the culture,” Tiny said in an Instagram Live video outside the federal courthouse in Santa Ana, California. “It was a battle. A hell of a battle. I couldn’t be happier.”
And it may not be long before TI retires from rap. Last October, the actor was asked on the “We in Miami Podcast” what fans could expect from him. TI responded that he plans to release a double album titled “Kill the King” and “Kiss the King” and that this will be his last album.

One of the album’s first singles will be a song with NBA YoungBoy. The track “LLOGCLAY” was released in May of this year.
TI began his musical journey in 2001 with his debut album “I’m Serious”. He then rose to fame with his second album, Trap Muzik, which earned him a Grammy nomination.
