Donna Valdez and Jessica Sanchez opened Affinity Insurance Services in April 2024 in Jourdanton.
The two specialize in Medicare and Marketplace plans, leveraging a combined 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Valdez and Sanchez moved from the tax industry to the insurance industry to focus on this specific area.
Affinity Insurance Services helps clients navigate the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) (October 15th to December 7th) and Marketplace Insurance Open Enrollment (November 1st to January 15th) Helpful.
To take the worry and stress out of the whole process, Valdez and Sanchez recommend having your plan reviewed once a year. The Services are provided free of charge to the Client. They will help you every step of the way. “If someone comes in who is getting ready to turn 65, you can talk to them,” Valdez said. “If they need to apply for Medicare, we’ll help them apply. Let’s start explaining.”
The Medicare process begins with a new customer’s first contact with Affinity Insurance Services. Affinity Insurance researches the resources each customer is eligible for and assists with the necessary applications. Valdez and Sanchez will walk you through each application, medical history, doctors, medications, and more. “We look at plans and find the plan that gives them the best coverage, so they can hopefully have a plan that covers all of their doctor visits and prescriptions,” Bal said. Dees said.
The pair emphasize the importance of working with a local, independent agency to navigate the often confusing Medicare process. They advise clients to be wary of unsolicited phone calls, television commercials, and mailings that may prompt them to switch plans or change coverage for which they may not be eligible. Local agents like Valdez and Sanchez help clients deal with situations like this.
Donna and Jessica work closely with each client and build lasting relationships. “It’s like starting a family and being valued for the services they provide,” Jessica said of her favorite thing about working at Affinity. Donna agreed, adding, “Being able to teach the kids and be able to confirm that they understood when I explained something.”
Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Valdez want everyone to know that this is a very important year to conduct an annual review of each plan. The government has made many changes. Many prescriptions and plans change in January. “We want everyone to make sure they contact their agent and look into this. If you don’t have an agent, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist you.” .”
