A Southington homeowner’s Ring camera captured an Amazon delivery driver taking money from a farm stand after delivering a package.
SOUTHINGTON, Conn. — A Southington homeowner’s Ring camera captured an Amazon delivery driver taking money from her farm stand after delivering a package to her home Sunday, leaving her concerned.
“I clearly saw footage of him taking money out of the jar,” resident Mary Bouchard said. “There was no other reason for him to touch that bottle. Most Amazon drivers come and throw their package at the front door, and it hits the door, hits the ground, and gets out of here.”
Bouchard said she left $10 at the farmer’s market, but it’s now gone. She often leaves money at the stand for neighbors to exchange if needed.
She sells eggs and other fresh produce to neighbors, friends, and family.
“Whenever I have eggs, I put change in a jar. That way, my family and friends can come and get as many eggs as they like and I don’t have to worry about change or money.” she said. Said. “It’s just there when you need it, and when you know someone is coming, you take it out.”

He also said that the driver was released, but before that he and the former driver showed up at Bouchard’s house and told the driver’s side of the story.
“He (Aklan) wanted me to stop by earlier today, so I said, ‘Okay, just let me know in advance when you’re coming,’ and he did,” Bouchard said. said. “He showed up and ended up bringing back the driver who stole the money without my consent.”
Bouchard said he was scared to be taken back to her home and now know what she looked like.
She said she couldn’t do anything because she didn’t have his name.
