The East Moline Community Foundation awarded $23,000 to 18 local nonprofit organizations through the fall grant cycle, according to a news release from the Moline Area Community Foundation.
East Moline Community Fund was founded as a nonprofit organization in 2011 to build a philanthropic resource dedicated to strengthening communities. The foundation receives and manages charitable donations and works with residents to achieve its goals of improving the community.
The grant recipients are:
Alternative for seniors – $1,000. Augustana University – $1,000. Ballet Quad City – $800. Quad Cities Children’s Therapy Center, NFP – $2,000. Illinois Quad Cities Christ United Methodist Church – $2,000. All children – $1,500. Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois – $1,600. Humility Homes & Services, Inc. – $500. Illowa Council, Inc. Boy Scouts of America – $1,000. Heartland Junior Achievement – $500. Pregnancy Resources – $1,525. Soles For Children Inc – $1,300. Spring forward – $2,000. STEAM On Wheel – $1,275. Two Rivers YMCA – $1,000. Western Illinois University Foundation on behalf of WQPT PBS – $1,000. World Relief Quad Cities – $1,000. Youth Hope – $2,000.
