The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to recognize Baker Insurance’s new ownership.
Baker Insurance offers individual plans, Medicare plans, and life insurance. The company has a business relationship with Customized Employee Benefit Plans of East Texas, which also offers group insurance and employee-based insurance.
CEBP owners Gene Bentley and son Beau Bentley now own Baker Insurance, ensuring that the more than 40-year-old agency continues to serve the Jacksonville community.
Office manager Lisa Henderson said the Bentleys were happy to accept Baker Insurance because the business is open and their seven employees remain employed.
Gene Bentley helped found Watson Bentley & Associates in Arizona in 1993, then moved to East Texas and founded CEBP in 2006. Originally located in Troup, the CEBP office has been located at 105 E. Main Street in Bullard since 2020. Beau Bentley officially entered the industry in 2010 after graduating from Oklahoma College of Science and Arts and currently serves as Director of Marketing for CEBP.
The Jacksonville and Bullard offices are now owned by the same entity and Baker Insurance will continue to serve the insurance needs of people in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.
