The news was revealed during an Apple Music interview with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The 47-year-old says the hit-making quartet will end their career after releasing their 12th album. “We’re only going to make 12 decent albums, but that’s the reality. Yes, I promise,” he admitted.

Just before announcing his tenth release, titled Moon Music, Martin emphasized the importance of taking a “less is more” approach to his discography, keeping it to just 12 studio albums. “For some critics, less is more.
