A Darlington retirement village has raised hundreds of pounds for an infant hospice in the North East by hosting a ‘grand luncheon’.
A fundraising event at Middleton Hall Retirement Village raised nearly £800 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough.
The luncheon was held on September 13th in the grounds of Middleton St George’s Retirement Village and was attended by residents, friends, local business members and representatives from Zoe’s Place and Middleton Hall Retirement Village.
Guests were welcomed on the lawn with a glass of prosecco, followed by a three-course buffet that included a fruit de mer platter.
A saxophonist entertained guests during lunch, and two professional singers made a surprise appearance once coffee was served.
