Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Leadville, Colorado. Both of my parents were educators, and my father was a soccer and ski coach. I lived there until 5th grade and then moved to Grand Junction.
What area do you live in now?
We currently live in Grand Junction. Grand Junction is a great place to live. It’s a very beautiful area with lots of outdoor activities and places to enjoy. We love the people, the community, and the small town feel with just the right amount of amenities and activities.
How long have you worked in commercial real estate?
My wife Sherry and I sold our business in 2018 and started working in real estate in 2020.
What were you doing before that?
We owned B&H Sports, a local company founded in 1980 by my parents, Jan and Gus Carlson. I graduated from Mesa State University, now Colorado Mesa State University, and grew up in the business world (I think this is where I met myself!) and have worked in all aspects of business, but primarily We are working on team sales to some high schools and universities in 4 states.
What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
He enjoys traveling with his wife, playing golf and paddleboarding, and spending time with his family.
What is one tip you would give to someone looking to buy, sell, or lease commercial real estate?
