The Green Market returns to downtown West Palm Beach for its 30th year

And upper seconds. Okay, Vanessa, thank you. Well, the nationally recognized farmers market starts tomorrow at the West Palm Beach Greenmarket. Return to the downtown waterfront. And Mary Pinnock, Community Events Manager for the City of West Palm Beach, and Gabriela Calegari, Green Market vendor and owner of Cone, will tell you more. Ladies, thank you for being here. Thank you very much. So, Mary, let’s start this season with you, or this year’s theme is the perfect season. why is that? Well, this year is our 30th anniversary. So we built this market. There are more vendors than ever before. We’ve continued to build on all the great things we’ve already done. And we really thought that captured the whole spirit. Everyone is very excited. We get so many calls and so many posts, but you know, the market is perfectly seasoned and we have a lot of great products that represent that seasoning. Understood. 130 vendors. correct. A first in green market history. And Gabriella, you are one of them. This will be my first time participating. What made you want to participate? You know, there are a few things. First of all, from a vendor perspective, from the city, the city gives you this great voice to help your business grow and thrive and actually increase sales. That’s wonderful. But what really got me hooked? This means that the cone is an all-natural, dye-free snow cone. No dyes, no artificial sweeteners, and no corn. You know, corn syrup in cookie dough. It just crumbles and crumbles. But I didn’t actually start using cones until my daughter was 2 years old. We discovered that she is allergic to artificial and synthetic dyes. Your reaction is really, really messed up. And like her actions. So I remember the first week I opened the cone. A little boy came there and was crying all the time. So I thought, “Did he fall?” I think maybe something happened. But two minutes later, my mom came and said, “I’m sorry, but could you just sell me some ice?” Of course I thought it was ice cream, but why? you know. Then she said, “My son is allergic to artificial dyes.” And you said no problem. I was like, “I got you, girl.” you know? And we were so happy because he got the biggest snow cone. All of my toppings are also dye-free. He received sprinkles and gummies and seemed very happy. I’m very happy. Gabriela I love that story. And when you brought these into the studio, you had them set up here so beautifully, I probably would have picked them up and messed them up, but I don’t think they were in your traditional snow cone. I noticed that there isn’t. it’s not. All toppings are also available. yes. So this is my peekaboo. Contains mango, passion fruit, and pineapple. Parents don’t tell their kids about it, but it contains sweet potatoes, beets, and carrots. Look at it. It’s very, very nutritious. This is my daughter’s favorite blueberry and blue lemon. Blue lemon with the scent of blue spirulina, a superfood. So I continue my journey of creating nutritious snacks for my kids. As you know, we do birthday parties and private events. The 30th season kicks off with over 130 vendors. It’s going to be a great day. We have 16 new vendors, 15 more in addition to GABBY. There are also many new things. Okay. That’s great.
