Marge Glick: Especially since property taxes are so high. Hello, my name is Marge Glick. I live in Wilson. I am retired and 82 years old. I came out because I wanted to vote against Kamala Harris.

Marge Glick said she voted “No Kamala” and hopes the state Legislature will address high property taxes in the next legislative session.
Alex Kusaia: Hello, I’m Alex Kusaia. I’m 24 years old. I’m originally from Jackson Hole and then I left, but now I’m Jackson Hole so I’m back here. So the biggest thing for me is to get involved in Teton County politics. So obviously Teton County is kind of set apart from the rest of Wyoming in terms of some of the issues and other things that come up. But I think it’s definitely important to participate. And meet people of all ages and share your thoughts.
Ann Jones: Hello, my name is Ann. I live in Wilson, Wyoming. I’m 40 years old and work as a real estate agent. I’m originally from Ohio, but have lived in the Jackson area since 1999. My property taxes have increased from 50% to nearly 100% year-over-year, making it nearly impossible to live in my current location. So my biggest concern would be taxes because the pay disparity is so high, especially in Teton County. Too many people work three or four jobs to make ends meet and don’t have time to spend with their families. And I think it’s really important that we can find ways to make it more affordable in general to keep the local population. Because that’s what makes this place really special. And of course, regarding the presidential election, I think it would be really wonderful if we had a female president in my lifetime.

Karin Chin takes a selfie with Chris Thomasberg outside the old Wilson School building after voting. Chin said she hopes Democratic candidates win elections in other counties in the state.
Karin Chin: My name is Karin Chin. I live in Wilson, Wyoming. I’m 40 years old, I just turned 40 this year. This was a tough vote. I think being at the top of the poll was really tough for me. I really wanted to get excited about the Harris Waltz campaign. In the end, I ended up voting for Harris Walz, which was a very difficult decision for me. I wanted to see more of her and her campaign. I wanted to feel a lot of joy in that election, but in the end it came down to a sense of duty to protect democracy.
Rachel Miller: Rachel Miller. I’m an office manager and I’m in my mid-50s. The government is in shambles and I hope Trump wins and fixes the problem. Locally, we want someone to improve our property tax situation.

Rachel Miller said voting is an honor and a privilege and she hopes all Americans take the time to vote.
Keith Cozens: My name is Keith Cozens. My age is 48 years old. I’m the Director of Marketing for 3 Bird, a local startup here in Jackson. So I think at the local level, certainly at the county level where the commissioners are. I think that is an important role. To keep this community and city moving in the right direction. And I think on the national front heading into the presidential election, we need to continue to move the country in the right direction. And I think the results of today are going to be very important for the next four years, eight years, and what that looks like, and beyond.
