4th place: Whitehall XC
Two female runners and one male runner qualified for Whitehall XC. For the men, Stewart Waters qualified with a time of 15:48.73. On the women’s side, Kami Krei and Adalynn Britton qualified in 19:49.55 and 19:14.93.
3rd place: Montague XC
Montague XC finished with three athletes qualifying for the state tournament on Saturday. Noah Reis, Alex Draves, and Nolan Kessler will be running on Saturday!
2nd Place: Matthias Morse, Western Michigan Christian
Western Michigan Christian senior Mathias Morse took first place at Saturday’s Division 3 regional cross country meet, completing the course in an impressive time of 16:02.79. Morse’s impressive performance led the Warriors to second place on the team and secured them a spot in next weekend’s state finals at Michigan International Speedway.
1st Place: Logan Wershem, Fruitport Soccer
The senior goaltender is unstoppable, leading his team to a win against Marquette last week and making clutch saves in the shootout against Forest Hills Eastern. Vershem finished his high school career with an impressive 27 shutouts in two seasons as the starting keeper.
