On October 29, 2024, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine raised 23.16 billion hrivres (equivalent) for the state budget in a tender for domestic bond issuance.
The Ministry’s Press Office wrote this on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Today, the Ministry of Finance issued bonds worth approximately 23.2 billion hivres,” the post reads.
The Ministry of Finance offered investors domestic government bonds denominated in hryvnia. 5,055,000,000 Frivres with a redemption period of 1 year and a rate of 14.65%. 5,322 million Frivres at 15.25%, maturity 1.6 years. 5.355 billion Frivres at 16.25%, maturity of 2.6 years. 602 million yen, 16.8%, maturity 3.4 years.

Dollar-denominated government bonds were also offered, amounting to $165 million, 4.6%, and one-year repayments.
As reported by Ukrinform, from October 15, 2024, the National Bank of Ukraine has expanded the list of benchmark domestic government bonds that banks can use to partially meet reserve requirements.
