Helping people find the perfect home is Karen Frank’s passion. She has been making a name for herself in the real estate industry for over 30 years.
“Karen Frank is the epitome of what it means to be a real estate agent,” says Dan Smith, one of the owners of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Floberg Realty in Billings.
If she wasn’t showing the house, you’d probably see the 85-year-old hard at work in her office.
It’s a job she loves.

“It’s so amazing. I mean, it’s a dream come true, and as cliché as it sounds, it’s absolutely true,” says Frank.
“She’s the steady rock of the office here. She’s here from 8 in the morning until 5 most nights,” says co-owner Beth Smith. “She has elegance and experience. That’s how I would describe Ms. Karen. Everyone loves her here.”
Frank spent more than a quarter century working at the old Hart Alvin department store downtown before moving into real estate. It was a job she loved, too.
She is also involved in the Billings community and has served on more boards than she can remember.
“Getting to know people and knowing something about them really helped my career in real estate when I started,” she says.
Building relationships with hard work and dedication has paid off for her.
“I’ve worked with some of my clients for three generations, which is great,” she says.
“I tease a lot of young agents and say, listen, you’re going to have to pick it up. Karen is holding out,” says Dan Smith. “She’s just a great girl. She’s so happy.”

Frank said he is grateful for the opportunity and has no plans to retire anytime soon. She says she wants to keep working until she can no longer work.
“I joke that when the phone stops ringing, I know it’s time to stop. But it hasn’t stopped ringing yet. That’s a good thing,” she laughed.
