Actress Sutton Foster has filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, following rumors that she is embroiled in a romance with Hugh Jackman, the Wolverine star.
Page Six reported that the “Young” actress spoke to screenwriter Ted Griffin on October 22, just months after selling her historic New York property for $2 million. The couple reportedly filed for an uncontested divorce.
Foster, who co-starred with Jackman in the hit Broadway show The Music Man, purchased a stunning home in Tuxedo Park, New York, in 2021 for $1.6 million.
The 49-year-old star has decided to list the seven-bedroom property in December 2023 for $2.2 million, according to Realtor.
The decision to sell the house, which Foster once described as “magical,” couldn’t have been an easy one, especially as she once described it as “the kind of home you want your kids to grow up in.” “I felt like it,” he once told Architectural Digest, adding: She could see Griffin and his daughter Emily spending Christmas and holidays there.

She added that Griffin found the house by chance after he began looking for a “permanent” base outside of the city and was drawn to the gated community of Tuxedo Park.
“We often drove by Tuxedo Park and were always curious about what was there,” she recalls, adding that when Griffin found the property, she realized it was her “forever home.” He revealed that he told her that he felt that.
“I felt the same way the moment I walked in,” she continued. “It felt like the home I wanted my kids to grow up in. I got to see Christmas, holidays, friends and family.”
Foster and Griffin’s marriage is over, and questions may be asked as to whether the decision to put the property up for sale was an ominous foreshadowing of their breakup.
Foster listed the home the same month that rumors began circulating about his romance with Jackman, who had just split from his wife of 27 years, Deborah-Lee Furness.
According to multiple reports, the pair’s on-stage chemistry turned into reality while starring in the hugely successful Broadway show “The Music Man,” which ran from December 2021 to January 2023. It is said that they developed into a relationship.

In October 2021, months before Foster accepted her role on the show, she sold her Los Angeles property for $1.5 million.
In addition to a mansion in New York and a previous residence in Los Angeles, Foster owns a penthouse apartment in Manhattan and a home in Greenwood Lake, New York.
Foster bought the lakefront home in 2010, four years before marrying Griffin in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Soon after their marriage, the couple moved to a residence in Manhattan.

News of Foster’s divorce comes 13 months after Jackman split from his wife after nearly 30 years of marriage.
At the time, Jackman and Furness released a joint statement regarding their separation.
“We have been blessed to have been together as husband and wife for almost 30 years in a wonderful and loving marriage. Our journey is now changing and we are separating to pursue personal growth. I decided to do it.”
The couple have two children.
Neither Foster nor Jackman have publicly commented on the rumors surrounding their alleged relationship.
However, a source told Page Six that the two want to keep their romance out of the public eye.
“They are 100 percent together, in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” the source claimed.
Another source added, “They are going out of their way to hide (their relationship), but it’s a known fact.”
