Pella Football Program Celebrates McKinstry Nearing Retirement | KNIA KRLS Radio – The One You Can Count On
Coaches, players and others directly associated with the Pella football program under the guidance of the longtime head coach gathered to celebrate the upcoming retirement of Jay McKinstry.
After the fireworks and vigil at Friday’s final regular-season game against Gilbert, a special celebration was planned by Sam Vande Weard, Zach Vande Weard and Carson Wells. The father-son duo said 150 people who have been involved with Pella football for many years at Pella High School signed up to participate in Chocolate Malt on Saturday afternoon.
