Alto Metals (ASX:AME) is currently undertaking further work on additional drilling at the Bull Oak, Vanguard and Ladybird deposits within its wholly-owned Sandstone Gold project in Western Australia.
CEO Matthew Bowles said Bull Oak had already achieved some impressive results, with SRC1027 delivering 212 meters overall, including 1 meter run of 116g/t gold on the interpreted Kohinoor North Reef. “This is a great result,” he said, noting that he intercepted multiple “high-grade quartz reefs” within the intercept. Alto has been here before. ”
“These latest results from below the shallowly mined Bull Oak open pit confirm the continuity of a wide zone of gold mineralization extending 500 meters from strike, outside the resource, and significantly increase the size of the deposit. “It presents an opportunity,” Bowles said. .
“Step-out drilling at Vanguard North intersects high-grade reef outside the resource, confirms +10g/t return with 80m drop and first-pass drilling at “similar target” Also exciting was a successful intersection with a quartz reef at 500 meters along the trend, confirming the target model. Further work is currently underway for follow-up drilling at these prospects. ”
Alto today (October 28) reported analytical results from a 28-hole RC drilling program totaling 3,440 meters at the Bull Oak, Vanguard and Lady Bird deposits.
Reverse circulation drilling at Bull Oak was designed to test the extension and continuity of mineralization outside of the current mineral resource. The completed hole, drilled to a maximum depth of 240 meters and a total of 600 meters, intersected “significant” gold mineralization, further validating the exploration targets announced on June 19, 2024.
Stepout drilling at Vanguard North to test new targets associated with reef expansion and strike both intersected gold mineralization. SRC1017 drilled 80 meters below SRC474 (including 3 meters @ 8.5g/t gold from 143 meters and 1m @ 22.2g/t gold) to drill a “high grade” reef site 80 meters outside the current resource. Intersected and returned interpreted extensions: 6m @ 148 meters to 1.9g/t gold, 149m to 1m @ 10.4g/t gold.
