PITTSFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – Thousands of people travel to Pittsford every Halloween to visit one of the town’s oldest haunted houses.
The Pittsford Fire Department’s 41st annual fundraiser is held at one of Vermont’s most popular and oldest haunted houses. With the help of more than 100 volunteers, people across the region are waiting in line in fear.
The old house near City Hall was once a children’s hospital. Now, volunteers continue to see the spooky traditions return and look forward to the bonds they create.
“It can be difficult at times, but it’s definitely worth it, because there are a lot of people who still live in the city that I don’t see outside of here. But when I came back the next year, it was like being reunited with family.” It makes me feel like, ‘…This is really good for the community, it’s good for the people who are coming to help, and we just want to come and scare you,” Pitts said. said Ford’s Kevin Carlton.
The final night of the haunted house is Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., and tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children.
