The West Liberty Business Association, West Liberty Lions Club, and West Liberty-Salem Athletic Association are joining forces to “Fight by Trudy” to support community leader Trudy Bradley as she battles lymphoma for the second time. It is hosted by The event, which includes a chicken noodle dinner, auction and raffle, will be held at the West Liberty Fire Station on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support the Bradley family’s medical expenses.
Bradley has worked as a barber at Keith’s Kut and Kurls for 31 years and is also a bus driver between West Liberty and Salem. She is active in the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Association, volunteers as a coach with the Big Orange Elementary Run Club, and volunteers with the West Liberty Youth Soccer Association.
“Trudy is one of the most dedicated and selfless people I know,” said West Liberty Salem boys cross country head coach Mike Louden. “She always goes above and beyond when it comes to team meals, transportation, and anything else our athletes need. She embodies what every parent in our community should aspire to be.”
Trudy and her husband, Tyler, have two sons, Troy and Taryn, who are both students at West Liberty Salem.
